Panthers signing Texas A&M WR Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad III

The Carolina Panthers may be trying to build their own small herd.

According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the Panthers are signing wide receiver Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad III, son of franchise great Muhsin “Moose” Muhammad, as an undrafted free agent.

Little “Moose,” a Charlotte, N.C. native, played at Texas A&M University from 2020 to 2024. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder, over those five seasons, amassed 81 receptions for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Muhammad also served as a punt returner for the Aggies, fielding 27 total attempts for a combined 194 yards (7.2 yards per return).

His father, the big “Moose,” played 11 of his 14 NFL seasons in Carolina—where he was named a first-team All-Pro and a two-time Pro Bowler. He still stands as the franchise’s second all-time leading receiver (9,255 yards) and is one of eight members of the organization’s Hall of Honor.
